'Two Sides of the Pacific' 40 x 40cm Oil on Board (2020), ready to hang.
Signed on the back.
'Two Sides of the Pacific' was an experimental piece when I was exploring ways to reflect my travel experiences, memories, and feeling without wanting to portray typical tourist scenes. This painting is a reflection of the end of my South America trip where I was looking out at the Pacific from Chile, and also when I arrived home, at Bronte Beach looking out at the other side of the Pacific Ocean. The South America trip was very important to me as it pulled me out of the rough patch I was having prior, but it was also when I realised I wanted to move overseas and explore more countries.
